A good rule of thumb on your daily protein intake should be based off your weight, you should be getting anywhere between .8 grams to 1.5 grams of protein per pound of body weight depending on how active you are. Here is the equation I use when helping clients figure out their daily intake.
Divide your body weight by 2.2 this will give you your weight in kg, next you will multiply your weight in kg by .8-1.5 depending on how active you are. So if you weigh 155lbs your equation would look like this:
70.45 X .8 = 56.36 grams of protein per day
(this would be a base of what your body needs, you would go up in grams of protein the more active you are)
Now I'm not a nutritionist or a dietitian, this is what I have found in the research I have done. Do your own research and find what might best work for you.
