Exercise releases endorphins, endorphins make you feel good and when you feel good your self esteem and confidence increase. Feeling sluggish, stressed, unworthy all decrease when you start a regular workout routine. Getting out and doing some moderate exercise everyday will improve your mood greatly.
Some other things to think of when you are feeling down. How much alcohol are you consuming. . . . while alcohol can make you feel good, sometimes it can make you feel bad. So watch how much you drink cut back if you are drinking more than 2 days a week. Are you eating a lot of sugar? Sugar will cause your insulin to spike and once it starts to drop you will start to feel sluggish and maybe a little cranky. Try to keep your sugar consumption between 10-15 grams a day. STRESS. . . . how much are you stressing over the perfect gift for a loved one, maybe you are hosting a party, or maybe you are just beating yourself up from all the food you ate on Thanksgiving. Take a deep breath and remember you are a wonderful human being, exercise also helps with stress so there ya go, two birds one stone.
Whenever I start talking about endorphins I always think of this part in the movie Legally Blonde
