For your own sanity and your trainer if you have one, STOP getting on the scale every single day to see if you've dropped another pound. Your weight can fluctuate so much in one day. I'm not even going to list all the different variables that will play into this, because chances are you already know and are still beating yourself up anyway for gaining 1/2 a pound since yesterday.
Everyday you wake up, you stumble to the bathroom do your business and then jump on the scale, if you don't see what you want you have just started your day off on a negative note and that is NOT where you want to be. There is enough negativity around you daily why create it in your own life. You might look in the mirror give a little shoulder shrug and say to yourself "I just won't eat as much today" problem solved. WRONG!!! If this is the ass backwards way you are thinking then you need to know that you are SERIOUSLY messing with your metabolism. Your metabolism is your friend and you should be nice to it. When you are doing nice healthy things to your body your body will do nice healthy things for you. Food is fuel and I don't care how much extra body fat you might be caring around you still need to be eating healthy meals throughout the day.
Not eating throughout the day can also take so much energy and time out of your day, you will constantly be wanting to eat that stupid cupcake that your coworker brought in for someones birthday, or contemplating walking over to the vending machine for a quick snack. Which in turn will just make you cranky that you can't have them, and cranky because your body is screaming at you for energy and wants to eat something.
You'll get home yell at the kids because they are getting on your hangry nerves, maybe even start a fight with your husband and then binge on a pint of Ben a Jerry's or drink a bottle of wine to deal with the stress. Well done. Now you will step on the scale tomorrow morning and start that vicious cycle all over again. Sound familiar?? This is not the way you were meant to live and deep down you know that. Stop weighing yourself daily, once a week is all you need. Plan your healthy meals for the week, schedule in a cheat meal (make it the same day every week) and you will see results.
I know getting down to a weight that you are happy with is frustrating we've all been there making healthy, long lasting, life style changes is the only way you will reach your goals and maintain them. If you don't know what that looks like seek a professional for help there are several avenues you can take for this, personal trainer, nutritionist, life coach, therapy, to name a few. You must be patient and trust the process. Believe you can get there and you will.
