I understand the feeling of guilt and defeat when you wonder back to these ambitions and you feel like you are no closer to getting there today than you where yesterday.
In these times it's important to take a step back and just accept where you are, I know it might seem a little scary or maybe a lot. I get it, trust me, but pushing through that fear and accepting where you are in life doesn't mean you have to stay there, it means you are taking full responsibility for where you are, and owning it.
This is, I believe the frist real step to change anything in life, fitness, career, relationships, whatever it is, accepting it and having no judgement on it is key.
Now from your new place of acceptance, how should you move forward?? This will look different for everyone, as not everyone has the same ambitions at the beginnning of the year.
Take some time today to look at your calendar and your ambitions, pick one thing on your list of things you want to change and do something everyday that will get you closer to that ambition.
Putting a little effort in everyday will make a huge difference, you will feel it emotionally, you will feel stonger on the inside because you are owning your life and making a choice everyday to change.
These efforts DO NOT have to be perfect, when have you ever changed anything in your life and it was perfect from the start?? Again hold no judgment on your efforts, you are trying and that's what matters the most.
Now go put some effort into your day and kick some ass!
